Because there is nothing like being on the river!

Lower Salmon River

The Lower Salmon River is a 4-5 day trip of up to 74 miles. A highlight of this trip is camping on the beautiful white sand beaches and swimming in the 70 degree water. Fun Class III rapids and relaxing flatwater stretches make this a great family river trip. Scenery includes stunning granite canyons and wide open spaces with mountain vistas. Weather can be very hot in mid summer, and most trips are scheduled for later in the summer and early fall, when hunting and fishing is better as well. Lots of interesting local history and remnants of frontier life can be experienced along the river.
